Gender Discrimination: a great issue to consider

The definition of gender discrimination is an attitude or action/decision taken with a bias towards individuals on the basis of their gender. Gender equality is not a woman’s issue, it is a human issue. It affects us all.
Lack of education is the main reason of gender discrimination. Females are meant to do household work so are highly neglected for the education. According to reports, girls make up for more than 50% of those 75 million children currently denied primary education, and woman form the vast majority of the 776 million illiterate persons worldwide.
Gender inequalities exist because of discrimination in the family and societal institutions and social, cultural, and religious norms that perpetuate stereotypes, practices and belief that are detrimental to woman.
Gender inequity occurs when sexes are treated unequally. Gender discrimination is still prevalent all around the world. Due to this, there is a arise harassment that may be sexual or other verbal or physical nature. Females are comparatively physically weaker than males so they become victim of eve teasing and rapes. Also, the gender inequality is a big argument in society which leads to unfair treatment based on males and females. This inequality has lead to other problems like in education, workplace, and family and among friends. Females are main victims of gender discrimination and dominated by men in homes, workplaces and society everywhere all around the world.
Although women empowerment like issue made change in perception towards females but cannot eliminate inequality fully.  If there would be equal rights for men and women the human society will advanced. In India, there are few people who forced girls to stay at home and help in domestic chores as they have no right to go outside freely and denied the right to education, women’s space is restricted to give births and do household tasks while men retain economic, political and religious control. There was a time there exists sati-Pratha where the woman was supposed to burn herself during the cremation of her husband. Men as fathers and husbands rule over women their family and regarded as the head. For years, women have been treated badly and did not allow enjoying recreational activity. With time, this condition of women changed a lot yet not completely. Women are performing better than men in certain fields of life.

  1. IT SEEMS THAT THIS STORY IS SLANTED IN FAVOR OF WOMEN, WHICH IN TURN MAKES IT BIAS AGAINST MEN. YOU FAILED TO MENTION THAT IN WESTERN COUNTRIES ESPECIALLY IN AMERICA, MEN MAKE UP 80% OF NON-CUSTODIAL PARENTS. STATE GOVTS SYSTEMATICALLY TAKING THEIR CHILDREN AWAY FROM FOR LITTLE OR NO REASON. IT SEEMS TODAY WOMEN HAVE ALL THE POWER ESPECIALLY IN DOMESTIC ISSUES IN AMERICA, WITH RADICAL FEMINISM INCRECENTLY TAKING OVER MEDIA,SOCIETY AND POLITICS.
